REGISTER FOR 2021 SUMMER CAMP HERE!

Summer Camp at Lakeshore

For those of you who have never been to Lakeshore before, WELCOME! We are so excited that you are thinking about coming to camp this summer and cannot wait to meet you in person! What makes camp at Lakeshore so special? First and foremost, everything we do at Lakeshore is firmly rooted in our belief that God’s love is infinite, joyful, and free to ALL. Everyone is welcomed, loved, and valued at Lakeshore. Our primary goal at summer camp is to share this love with every single camper and help them to grow—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—into the unique people our loving God has created them to be. (And have as much fun as possible while we’re at it!)

Elementary School Programs:

Elementary Camps are for campers who have completed 2nd through 5th Grade.
Each Elementary Camp session is engineered to give these young campers a taste of everything camp has to offer while under the loving guidance of amazing counselors. Making new friends, practicing independence, exploring the Bible, and mastering social skills are especially emphasized for this age group.
Discovery camps
June 27 - July 2, July 18 - 23
Stay at camp for a whole week at a Discovery Camp! These programs are great introductions to camp and are specially designed just for our youngest week-long campers. They’ll have the time of their lives  trying all kinds of activities, making friends, playing games, and learning about God.

Blast Off!
July 5 - 8
(For 1st - 5th Grade!)
Ready to stay overnight? This 3-day camp will give campers a great introduction to all things camp. They’ll have so much fun they’ll wish they could stay longer! Even if it’s not your first time at camp, this program is a great way to fit a few days of camp into a busy summer schedule.

Middle School Programs:

Middle School Camps are for campers who have completed 5th through 8th Grade.
A world of adventure and once-in-a-lifetime experiences awaits for all of our Middle School Camps. These sessions focus on building self-esteem, making life-long friends, understanding your own faith, and learning new skills—all while having the time of your life!

God while making memories that  will last a lifetime!

High School Programs:

High School Camps are for campers who have completed 9th through 12th Grade.
Who do you want to be? Where are you going? How do you connect with God? Lakeshore’s High School programs are all about answering these questions and preparing our campers for adulthood by focusing on learning leadership skills, expressing your faith at home, and creating healthy relationships.
LIT (Leaders in Training)

Then, they'll head home for a week to rest up for the big show! They'll come back in full leader-mode by pairing up with a Lakeshore Counselor to lead an elementary cabin of their own for the next week.
Space is limited in this life-changing program, so register ASAP.

Summer Camp Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I register for camp? We encourage all of our campers and families to register online to reduce waste. Online registration opens on Monday, February 1st, and links to registration will be on our website's front page, the summer camp page, and all of our social media.

What is your COVID policy? Your health and safety is the highest priority for Lakeshore Center at Okoboji. Therefore we will take as many precautions as possible to protect you while performing our vital ministry. This includes recommending that campers and families receive a vaccine as soon as they are able; requesting 14 days of social distancing for each camper before their program; facemasks, social distancing, and health screenings at all camp check-ins and check-outs; and smaller group sizes at camp. Pandemic conditions and best practices are constantly changing, and Lakeshore Center will update this policy as needed, reserving the right to cancel any programs as deemed necessary.

Why do the camps have multiple prices listed? Our campers come from a wide variety of backgrounds, and our 3-tier pricing structure recognizes that what may be comfortable for some to pay may be a burden for others. The top tier represents the true, unsubsidized cost of camp in terms of maintenance, wear-and-tear, equipment, and grounds. The middle tier is partially subsidized, and the final tier is a higher subsidized rate. This system is private, freewill, and voluntary; please choose the tier that is most suitable for you. Whatever you pay, every camper will be given the same, amazing, camp experience.

Are scholarships available? YES! We believe every child should be able to attend a camp like Lakeshore. Thanks to the generous gifts of churches and individuals, Lakeshore's scholarship fund is available for all campers who need it. Scholarship forms can be found under the "Forms & Information" tab of our website.

My church pays for part of my camp fees—How does that work? Churches handle camp fees in different ways. Ask your church how to handle split payments - if they don't know, have them contact us!

What is your cancellation and refund policy? If Lakeshore is notified at least 14 days prior to the scheduled camp session, all but 25% of camp fees are refundable or may be transferred to another program. If a camper fails to show up without prior notification, no refund is available. We cannot offer refunds for campers who leave their session early. If Lakeshore is forced to cancel a program, all participants will be noted as early as possible. Fees from cancelled programs may be fully refunded, applied to future programs, or donated to Lakeshore.

What do I pack for camp? Upon registration, a packing list and other relevant materials will be sent to you. This information is also available at our website under the “Forms and information” tab.
