June 14-18 LIT: Leaders in Training for 8-12 grade
LIT will give our older campers time to experience the best parts of summer camp while also learning how to lead activities and teach younger campers. If you are ready to grow in your faith and step into leadership roles at church or in your community, this camp is a perfect choice for you. LIT Campers who participate in this full camp will have the opportunity to return later in the summer as a junior counselor or day camp assistant, potentially as paid staff. Registration will be Sunday, June 14 at 3 pm and the camp concludes Thursday, June 18 at 1 pm (?)
June 19-20 Sheep (ages 5-11) & Shepherds (adults)
Sheep & Shepherds offers an excellent overnight camp experience for young campers and a trusted adult. Sheep will stay with their respective shepherds in our hotel-style lodge rooms (overflow in cabins) and have the chance to try out camp games, lessons, waterfront activities, and more. Registration will be Friday, June 19 at 11 am and Sheep & Shepherds concludes Saturday, June 20 at 1 pm.
June 21-26 Outdoor/Indoor Camp for 3-8 grades
We know some campers like to be outside all the time for biking, hiking, swimming, games, and more. We also know some campers are more indoorsy and prefer board games, puzzles, crafts, and other activities. This camp has a mix of both! Each day campers will be able to pick their electives based on if they are feeling outdoorsy or indoorsy. All campers will have time to explore the fruits of the Spirit through Bible stories, fun worship, and themed activities. O/I Camp registration will be Sunday, June 21 at 3 pm and the camp will conclude Friday at 1 pm.
June 26-28 Grown up Camp (18+ years old)
Do you miss the campfires, the kayaking, the hiking, the singing, the friendships, and the way time just feels different at camp? You’re not too old for summer camp! Reunite with childhood camp pals, forge new adult friendship, and soak in all that Lakeshore has to offer. Grown up Camp registration will be Friday, June 26 at 3 pm and the camp will conclude Sunday, June 28 at 11 am.
June 28-July 2 Family Camp (all ages)
Family Camp offers the blessing of time together as a family without the pressure to figure out meals, plan activities, and keep everyone entertained. Our summer staff will offer a host of activities, Bible lessons, worship, and more for all ages. Some sessions will be for all ages together and some sessions will be divided up as adults meet together and children and youth meet separately. Accommodations will be first come/first placed starting with hotel style rooms in the lodge and utilizing bunk rooms and cabins as needed. Registration will be Sunday, June 28 at 3 pm and Family Camp concludes Thursday at 1 pm.
July 5-7 Kidz Camp (1-5 grade)
Kidz Camp is for our younger campers just getting used to overnight camp. We will pack a lot of fun into this two night camp. Activities will include entry level canoeing, wacky team games, crafts, Bible stories, engaging worship, and a campfire! Registration for Kidz Camp will begin at 3 pm on Sunday, July 5 and the camp will wrap up on Tuesday, July 7at 1 pm.
July 8-11 Night Owls (5-8 grade)
Night Owls returns to the Lakeshore Schedule in a new format of a Middle School Conference. Campers will participate in a variety of activities, several taking place at night with glow in the dark accessories. Campers can come as individuals or register together with others in their church youth group. Worship and Bible study will be engaging and give campers a chance to grow in their faith while learning to shine bright even in the darkest night. Registration for Night Owls will be Wednesday, July 8 at 3 pm and the camp will conclude Saturday, July 11 at 1 pm.
July 12-16 Wacky Tourist Camp (6-12 grade)
Wacky Tourist Camp is not your run-of-the-mill summer camp. Campers for this week will experience the regular tourist attractions in Okoboji (think Arnold’s Park and mini-golf) but will also explore off the beaten path activities in the Lakes area. Come ready for adventure! Campers will be able to experience Lakeshore favorite activities as well and will join in worship with the Discover Campers. Registration for Wacky Tourist Camp will be Sunday, July 12 at 3 pm.and the camp will conclude Thursday, July 16 at 1 pm
July 12-16 Discovery Camp (2-5 grade)
Discovery Camp is a wonderful time for elementary campers ready for a few more overnights at Lakeshore. Campers will discover the fruit of the spirit with stories, activities, and more. They’ll have time for water games, archery, crafts, and games. Campers will join Wacky Tourist campers for worship. Registration for Discovery Camp will be Sunday, July 12 at 3 pm and the camp will wrap up Thursday, July 16 at 1 pm.
July 19-24 MAD Camp (Music Art Drama) K-12 as a Day Camp and/or 5th grade and up as an overnight camp
The rumors are true! MAD Camp is returning to the Lakeshore schedule in 2026. This new version will be led by faculty from Hastings College. Campers will spend Sunday-Friday preparing a production to be performed Friday afternoon. They’ll work on their speaking parts, singing parts, build the set and props, and use their gifts to bring glory to God (need more info from Doodle) Registration for overnight MAD Campers will be Sunday, July 19 at 3 pm. Day Camp will run 8-5 daily. The performance will be Friday, July 24 at ???
July 26-31 Last Chance Summer Camp (Family Camp overnight / Day Camp)
Summer can’t last forever. This final week of July is reserved for a casual family camp. Our staff will offer a variety of camp activities, worship, and more. Families will have time to enjoy the lake and the Okoboji area together. This is the perfect affordable family vacation and a great way to savor the summer before the demands of the school year return later in August. Registration for Last Chance Summer camp will be at 3 pm on Sunday, July 26. The camping season will wrap up on Friday, July 31 at 1 pm.
(We can be flexible this week– if you want to come with kids or grandkids for a couple days but can’t make the whole week work, reach out to us in the office and we’ll do what we can to accommodate your schedule.)
