Lakeshore Center's Summer Pastor Retreat will take place June 9-12.

Monday, June 9
9-4    Mental Health First Aid Training (optional pre-session-- lunch break around 12)
4    Registration/Check-in
5:30     Dinner
6:30    Welcome & Expectations
7:00    Evening Vespers   
8:00    Snacks, Games, Conversations (BYOB)

Tuesday, June 10
8-9 Breakfast
9:30    Morning Prayer & Song
10:00    Being a Person and a Pastor
11:00    Resource Roundtable: The Preaching Process
                  Participants are invited to share resources they find helpful in preparing sermons such as books, commentaries, podcasts, etc. 
12:00 Lunch
1:30     Field Trip Options
  • Spirit Lake First Presbyterian Church : Touring the podcast studio and talking about digitally reaching out beyond church walls
  • Volunteer : Flood Recovery is ongoing in communities near the Lakes. Help rebuild by being matched with ongoing work projects.
  • The Great Outdoors: Bike or Hike on nearby trails. Borrow a kayak and paddle on Miller's Bay
  • Exploring Okoboji: Visit area tourist attractions and enjoy leisure time
5-6   Cookout on the patio by the Rec Hall
6-8 Silent Book Club @ Lakeshore Lodge (snacks provided)
