New Pricing: Why 3 Prices?

Realizing that everyone has a different ability to pay, Lakeshore Center at Okoboji has instituted a voluntary three-tier fee program.  You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your situation.  It is really a free will system; you tell us what is affordable for you or your family.  All participants receive the same Lakeshore Center experience no matter what they pay!  For those who cannot afford Tier 1, additional financial assistance is available through our scholarship program or through your local church to ensure that all children, youth and adults have the wonderful opportunity to attend camp.  In addition, some families might use this system to give themselves a multi-child or multi-week discount.

Tier 1 is our historically subsidized rate and does not reflect the true cost of operating summer camp programs.

Tier 2 is our partially subsidized fee for those who can pay a little more but still cannot afford the actual cost of camp.

Tier 3 more closely accounts for the true costs of camp, including wear and tear of facilities, equipment, and grounds.

The tiers will appear online as Tier 1/Tier 2/Tier 3.

Again, this program is voluntary and in no way influences the experience anyone will receive.  It offers the opportunity for families/individuals to take an active role in supporting the true cost of any camp experience at Lakeshore Center!

Our historically subsidized rate is made possible by the contributions from individuals, churches, friends of Lakeshore Center, and the Presbytery of North Central Iowa, Prospect Hill, and Minnesota Valleys.  Thank you all for your giving and support of our ministry.
