DAY CAMP 2026
Day Camp is the perfect activity for kids in Okoboji. You can sign up your elementary aged kids for one or more days of fun at the lake! REGISTRATION OPENS JANUARY 1, 2026! Here are a few ways we see Day Camp meeting the needs of our community:
* LOCAL KIDS WHO NEED A FEW DAYS OR WEEKS OF FUN: Do you have a gap in activities this summer and need a few days filled to keep your kids from being bored? Day Camp offers flexibility of picking a whatever days YOU have open. Kids will have so much fun with a variety of camp activities.
* SHORT VACATION: Do you need an affordable mini-vacation? You could bring your kids to the lake and while they have fun at Day Camp, you get time to explore the Okoboji area or find a little rest and relaxation for you. You could stay overnight at Lakeshore in between a couple days of day camp and have family time in the evening or if you're staying at a campground, resort, or hotel, you can drop your kids off with us for a fun-filled day.
* CHURCH OR FRIEND GROUP: Does your church struggle to find enough volunteers or kids for Vacation Bible School? You could offer to bring kids to a day or more of Day Camp in place of VBS. Your kids would still get to have fun playing together and learning about Jesus. The Lakeshore Staff would keep them safe and take the place of those hard-to-find volunteers. Consider offering scholarships to kids in your community and partner with us in offering Bible-based education to your community.
* GRANDPARENT CAMP: Are you looking to spend time with your grandkids but a little overwhelmed by their energy and knowing what to do to hold their attention? You could bring them to Day Camp and join in on some activities but let our energetic team of counselors keep your grandkids hopping.
*TRY OUT CAMP: Day Camp is an excellent way for kids to get a taste of camp without an overnight commitment. Maybe they'll discover they love it and want to come back for more or spend a night in the cabin. We have overnight camps, too!
